Nope... Not what you think.
Here's my question...What do you do for fun? For play?
Too often I see business leaders neglecting play in their lives. Look, I get it...you're busy. There's a lot to do...always. Work comes first. There's no time to play, to relax, to take time for myself.
You have a mindset like...If I'm going to get ahead I have to hustle, work hard...harder than anyone else. Be the first to the office. Last to leave. Serious results require serious focus.
That's all good...Until it's not.
Like a muscle that you exercise, if you overwork it, it will fail.
The same goes for your focus and work ethic, if you overwork it, it will fail.
I often hear people talking about being stressed out and getting burned out. There is absolutely no good reason to get burned out, or even stressed out. That is simply a product of you not being a good leader. Yeah I said it. Being stressed is not a sign of your importance or a badge of success. It's a sign you are failing at taking proper care of yourself. Which is a critical requisite for being a great leader.
So if you want to improve your success, reduce your stress, level up, WIN MORE...add in more play, more fun, more of the things in your life that bring you joy and pleasure.
Sometimes you have to work at it and redesign systems in your life. That's some work that's worth the effort. Trust me, that investment will pay off huge in the long run.
Do it. PLAY TO WIN!!
